Betty has a long history of teaching and working with students of various ages prior to her involvement in yoga. In 2000, Betty took her first yoga class and immediately became keenly interested in how this practice instills balance, flexibility and calmness in all areas of life. Betty's safe and compassionate style and keen interest in anatomy translates itself into her teaching and helps students understand the complexities of their inner physical body encouraging a mind, body and spirit connection. Trained in Calgary, AB, in the Iyengar style of yoga, Betty received her certification from The Yoga Studio South, and further certification in restorative and therapeutic yoga from The Yoga Gateway. She has completed further studies with various senior Iyengar teachers through her attendance at workshops and retreats. Betty has eight years experience teaching restorative and therapeutic yoga to alleviate pain and stress related disorders.
